Martin Brodeur Wins NHL 14 Cover Vote

Although Blue Jackets’ goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky won this year’s Vezina Trophy, longtime Devils’ netminder Martin Brodeur received an interesting consolation prize on Friday as EA announced that he had bested Bobrovsky in the final fan vote for this year’s cover athlete. A four-time Vezina Trophy winner, three-time Stanley Cup champion and holder of countless individual records, this unique fan honor can be seen as just another feather in Brodeur’s cap as he nears the end of his illustrious career.

In an interesting Panthers’ tie-in, Brodeur will be the first goalie the first goalie to grace the cover of the NHL series since Panthers’ legend John Vanbriesbrouck back in 1997.
